AWAY Spa is the modish signature spa of W Hotels worldwide. It banks on the concept of metamorphosis—a holistic process where guests are treated to a journey across its zones “to escape and retreat into the seclusion of one's own space, where you can detox and cocoon from a long playful night out and refuel your cool to emerge renewed for whatever comes next.”
It has private single treatment suites, as well as a double treatment suite that features a bathroom, plunge bath, and access to their Hammam. Those needing an even more exclusive experience may opt for their VIP treatment suites, which also have their own bathroom. Its separate facilities for men and women include a sauna, steam room, and hot tubs, while a unisex Hammam and relaxation area await right after. AWAY Spa is also proud of its Style Lab, a salon that has manicure, pedicure, and grooming stations.
We arrived at AWAY Spa in time for our appointment, and its friendly staff put us through a very personalized consultation at once. Although thorough, it didn’t take too long; we were already made to choose what mood color we wanted our glowing beds shortly after. Choices were green for calm and peaceful, red for increasing body energy, purple for happiness, and pink for romantic and sensuality. We went for red.
