What a whirlwind! Getting away is always amazing, and even more exciting when you have the privilege of hanging with good friends. The husband and I traveled to Napa Valley this weekend and soaked in some tasty treats, beautiful scenery and (what else!) amazing wine. We stayed in an old converted schoolhouse that our friend’s grandfather remodeled, took an early morning hike, tasted a piece of history at Chateau Montelena, raced through the grounds on a speedy John Deere, celebrated a home-cooked meal (with our own harvested veggies!) and capped off the weekend by sipping in the sunshine at Scribe Winery. I’m totally pooped – but it was totally worth it :)
