Wednesday Addams - Halloween Outfit

By Obviousleigh @Obviousleigh

Hey everyone, so at my place of work we were asked to get into the spirit of halloween and dress up. Halloween isn't until next Thursday I know, but we had a halloween raffle sale and cake sale on the weekend for the NSPCC and it was only fair we all dressed up to show our support! I didn't exactly need to get 'into' the spirit as halloween as it's probably my favorite time of the year, I already knew exactly what I wanted to dress up and I have already been buying pumpkins and Halloween themed sweets since they started putting up the displays in the shops. Eventually when I get my own house, my whole house will be top to bottom completely decorated in a spooky halloweeney theme (it's my main goal in life HA!). Anyway I'm babbling too much, below is what i dressed up as (See title) & how i went about creating the look of Wednesday Addams, plus a semi-tutorial on my makeup for the occasion. The whole outfit cost me a total of £6 D.I.Y is the way forward and so much more creative so have fun with your costumes ENJOY!

For the outfit I picked up a £4 wig from Asda originally it was a long wavy wig with purple strips of hair at the front. I also picked up some temporary coloured hair spray & sprayed the purple strips completely black. I then plaited the wig to create Wednesday's hair. The dress is also from Asda, I found it in the office & work wear section. The dress was £16 but fitted perfectly with Wednesday's school girl look (I took the dress back after I wore it for my shift at work, Sneaky I know! #FREEDRESS) I put on some black tights & I went for comfortable shoes as I was working. To complete the look I wore my cross chain like she does in the newer films.

How to recreate the makeup - all products I used are listed below, Obviously you don't have to use these products it's just an idea and to keep it cheap use what you already have..
1) Lighten your whole face & lips with either face paint or white eyeshadow.  Snazaroo water based face & body paint in white 000
2) I then used a translucent power to set the face paint (optional). MAC Prep & Prime translucent powder
3) Fill in your eyebrows with a black eyeliner MAC Fluidline in wholesome
4) Cover whole eye lid in a medium gray & blend out. Gun metal from Sleek Bad Girl 596 palette
5) Use a medium brown eyeshadow underneath the eyes to give a sunken eye effect & blend out. Supernova from Sleek PPQ 659 palette
6) Add some mascara. Benefit They're Real
6) Place on your wig and draw a widow's peak with black eyeliner or eyeshadow & fill it in. MAC Fluidline in wholesome
