Warren Buffet on the Law of Chance

Posted on the 28 October 2017 by Calvinthedog

If a cop follows you for 500 miles, you’re going to get a ticket.

– Warren Buffet

There’s your odds game for ya, folks. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I don’t like having cops in back of me. Nothing against cops per se any more than the usual because there actually are indeed good cops (I’ve met them), but there’s just no point in having a cop behind you for exactly the reason above. Now if most cops were about as cool to you as your best friend is, no problem. They can follow me around all day and night. Maybe I’ll even stop and have a beer with them at the end of the shift. But we are not anywhere near that yet. Actually, this is where we are at.

The fewer interactions you have with your average street cop, the better.

– Robert Lindsay

Once again, nothing against cops per se, but there’s just too many crappy ones and nowadays, they’re usually only dealing with you if they are harassing your ass, giving a warning, friendly or otherwise, actually writing you up, or worst of all, putting these God be damned forever metal things on your wrist. So yeah, it’s pretty much me here, cops over there and never the twain shall meet as a good general rule. I wish it didn’t have to be that way, but that’s just how it is.
