Warm Spring

With every new season, comes new feelings, and with new feelings comes NEW MAKEUP! A few days ago I went to Sephora because my sister needed something and I decided to do a full face of makeup while I was there. The outcome are the pictures above (note: I did edit out some HUGE zits. I also increased the saturation, vibrancy, brightness, and contrast because the photos were very washed out).
For base, I used the Smashbox Photofinish Primer in orange to cancel out the dark spots and discoloration on my face. I was not too impressed, but like I said before, I hate face primers because they are the work of the devil. For foundation, I used the Too Faced Born This Way Foundation and I really liked it. It has a very nice opaque coverage and a natural glowing finish. Setting powder is essential  because it can be a bit oily, this is coming from a dry skin girl. I went in with the Benefit Erase Paste in Dark because I am growing umbrellas underneath my eyes. I don't remember the concealer I used, which shows how much of an impression it made me. For powder, I used the Lancome Dual Finish Powder which was okay. Then for blush, I used an Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Champagne Blush and for highlight, Hourglass Ambient Strobe Lighting Powder in a color I do not remember. The thing I remember about both of the products is that they are VERY SPARKLY! Also, the the blush did not last, so I added a Topshop Cheek Jelly in Reign for some more color.
I was very excited for the eyes because I revisited the Smashbox Full Exposure Palette. It was on my wishlist for a while, but after watching a video by Claire Marshall, I stopped wanting it. However, my feelings for it resurfaced after re-trying it. I love the mix of matte and sparkle colors in the palette, they blend very well, and give a soft effect. Next, for mascara, I picked up the closest thing I could find because I was not very interested in a mascara. I quickly grabbed the Makeup Forever Smokey Extravagant Mascara and I was pretty impressed with the outcome.
For lips. I used a Bite Beauty Lipstick and Lip Crayon to create a lip gradient. However, it faded after lunch, so I used my beloved YSL Glossy Stain in Coral Alla Prima (link) to re-create my lip gradient.
From the entire experience, there were a few products that stood out to me. First was the Too Faced Born This Way Foundation and the Smashbox Full Exposure Palette. Also, I am in love with all the lip colors by Bite Beauty, so I need to start a savings fund for that. I think this should be a seasonal tradition to discover new products for a fresh change.
What are your spring makeup favorites?
Happy Friday xoxo
