Tortola, British Virgin Islands, is a great place to visit or provision. We found it to be very social. We met up with old friends from our Mega Yacht days, Justin and Cayley. They have a great apartment up in the clouds of Tortola. They took us to Killi Killi where I experienced what I think was the whole islands ex-pat kids under 5. It was loud, overwhelming but most of all a hoot. The kids had a wonderful time. Check them out if you’re in the area with young ones. You will find a huge supermarket in town call Riteway. The prices are reasonable (for the Virgin Islands) but still more expensive than St. Thomas. Sheesh we spent $530 but we did buy a lot of meats… and chocolate. While in Nanny Cay we also got to catch up with Brittany, Scott, Isla, Haven and Mira from the blog Windtraveler. They are here for the next couple of weeks getting their boat ready to live on once again… but this time with TWINS!  We had great times at the pool, our little man is only one day younger then their sweet twins. Lucky man, hanging out with twins at only 10 months old. Brittany and me cay and jus elevator view my kind of place Above: now this is my kind of kids center. The world can learn a lot from Tortola, serve beer at every event – a happy parent is a happy event!tortola friends1 tortola friends2

Riteway is a pretty fancy supermarket, they’re not all like this.
DSCN2769 DSCN2774 DSCN2775 Big thanks to Justin and Cayley for letting us use their car to go to the store. We stayed 2 nights at Soper Hole ($30 moorings) and 4 nights at Nanny Cay Marina. Lucky Carl picked up some work with Justin and was able to cover majority of our slip fees. See bringing home the baconWe picked up Cayley, Justin and their kids and headed out for the weekend. Stay tuned for pictures of what we did.
