Vintage Rose Nails - First Try ♡

By Ribbonsandbowsox @rebecc4dennison
I recently have been gotting back into doing nail art, mostly from the discovery of Islays blog and youtube. Islay does a lot of vintage flower art on her nails, so I decided to give a similar design a try. Please remeber that this is my first ever try at doing these nails, so please don't leave any criticising comments about them!
First I painted all of my nails except my ring finger in an Essie nail polish in the color 'Off The Shoulder', and I painted my ring finger in a Revlon polish in the color 'Lilac Pastelle'.

I then used the same Essie polish to put some rough circle shapes on my ring finger. Remember, these circles are better if they're very rough, it makes them look more like petals.

I make sure the pink on all of my other nails is dry, and I then start to put little white polka dots on my nail. I'm just using a cheap white nail polish that came in a french manicure set for this.

Back to my ring finger, I add really rough white lines to the pink circles. This makes it look like petals.

After that, I finish it off with the green petals. I mixed my Revlon matte nail polish in 'Emerald City' with my white polish to make a lighter green colour, and added them so they looked like leaves. I then finished the look with one coat of the Sally Hansen base and top coat.

And you're finished! As I said, they're not the best, but it was my first try. I would love to see your version of this nail art! Send me a picture to my twitter (here).
