Vet Day

Today my sister and I And Honey and Lea traveled to my home townFor Honeys follow up appointmentAnd to get her stitches outI brought them for a walk first thingSo they wouldn't mind the hour and a half driveAnd we arrived at my Dads just before lunchMy sister and Lea waited at the houseAnd my Dad and I made our way to the vetsHoney was not best pleased to be back at the vet againBut props to her She was very good
After waiting for a few minutes The vet called us inHe said her eye looked greatAnd that you can hardly notice the eye is goneWhich is true Her fur is growing over the little woundThe vet said that she was in a lot of pain with her eye before the operationHe said he usually takes before and after photos of operations To put on his Facebook pageBut that Honey was so 'grotesque' before that he didn't take one
There was another matter the vet wanted to talk to me aboutThe big elephant in the roomLiterallyHoneys weightHe said that she has to lose someIf we want her to live a long and healthy lifeOn the vets scalesHoney weighed in at 17kilosHe said that 13kilos is an ideal weight for herI asked the vet about the best food to feed both my dogsHe recommended oneAnd worked out the correct amount to give themSo that is my next missionTo get Honey to a healthy weight
