I joined Pinterest yesterday even though I wasn’t exactly sure what it was all about. An hour or two later and of course I was already hooked.
You know those “vision boards” Oprah told us all to make? The ones where you take a cute fabric covered bulletin board and cover it with pictures of things you like or dream of. Pinterest is like a digital version of just that. It’s a way to save and share all of the beautiful things you find on the web. You store everything by topic, so it’s much easier and more organized than saving things you find to your internet favorites or in a folder on your computer.
People use it to redecorate their home, plan a wedding, or save their recipes. So far I’ve only started two boards – one for products or images that are inspirational for this site and the other for the local places that I love.
With millions of new pins happening every week, I guess I’m not the only one who’s hooked.
