Vera Wang Princess Set- Review!

By Januarycusp

Hello everyone,

Happy Tuesday to all of you! :)

Ohk, so remember the time when I created a Spring List here? I had so much of fun doing that, & I'd been looking forward to finalising a Summer version as well. But only when it feels like summer, right? It was raining here for the entire weekend, and all my plans to get out of town were "whoooooooosh" - thrown into the trash. Aaand now that the weekend is over, look at that Sun shining!

Anyhow, I'm still excited because this week is going to fun, family & soo much shopping (here's hoping for that ^^' ). Yes, I'll be travelling to Chicago & then heading to a big, fat family event over the 4th of July weekend. And the coincidence can only mean more awesomeness, right? Also, that reminds me that I haven't even started packing so I've to get to that as well. :P

Moving ahead, remember me talking about Dolce by D&G in my Spring List? I found that bottle sooooo pretty-pwetty that I'd ve considered getting that solely for that reason. Well, luckily I've got one such in my collection now, and it's even more pretty. <3

Look at that bottle. It is literally the prettiest one ever! And if you haven't tried it because the name ' Princess' puts you off, or makes you feel like it's too sickly sweet or overtly floral, then keep reading because you're in for a surprise.

I'm usually quite picky about perfumes & my favourite continues to be Versace Bright Crystal - which I <3 soo much. However, this one is a sweet, fruity fragrance with subtle floral hints, but it is not at all overpowering. I don't like those perfumes which are too sugary sweet, or too fruity- but this one has an understated, sophisticated air about it. Very classy, and very summer-appropriate- in fact very wearable during daytime all-round the year.

If you want more details then this has Apricot, Apply & Water-Lily as its top notes, Tuberose, Guava, Dark Chocolate & Tiara flower as it's middle notes; and Amber, Vanilla & Woodsy notes as it's base notes.

See- perfect blend of fresh, fruity & floral! Actually, honestly speaking, when I first tried in on my writs, I thought- 'hmph, this is just fine.' But then I accidentally smelled my hand again after a few hours, and it was still there, and felt absolutely outstanding! It has a really impressive staying power & just 3-4 sprays are good enough to last an entire freaking day! :o

Anyhow, the complete Set comprises of a Body Polish & a Body Lotion, which are equally amaazing!

The Body lotion has a thick, creamy consistency and smells exactly like the perfume. Even the texture is quite hydrating.

Again, even the Body Polish smells similar to the perfume, but it isn't as concentrated as the Body Lotion. It's sheer and has tiny granules for gentle exfoliation. I'm so psyched to use this in the shower- feels absolutely luxurious & the fragrance is obviously, very heavenly. <3

Overall, even the entire box is cuteness on a whole, different level. Albeit the box does look a little girly & tweeny, but the perfume is definitely not one which can be classified as one that is 'too young'. So go ahead, give this a shot. Remember, how you shouldn't judge a book by its cover- well, don't judge a perfume by it's name! 8)

That's all for today! I'll be back with a Chicago Travel Diary & so much more soon!

Love,
