These days, at least in NYC, raw cookie dough seems to be all the rage. I guess it shouldn't surprise me. In high school, before I went vegan, some raw Pillsbury cookie dough and a spoon were one of my favorite sweet indulgences.
If you still love the idea of it, but want to fill that craving vegan style, you must head to Whole Foods and try Better Bites Do Bites. These vegan, gluten free balls of sunflower nut butter "dough" enrobed in a thin layer of dark chocolate are SO decadent. I couldn't eat a whole one at once. Well, I probably could but I didn't. I'm not an ice cream girl, but I loved this cold, sweet treat. I must admit I even considered tossing one into a blender with non-dairy milk and a banana to see if I couldn't whip up a little smoothie!
If you're look for a new, not-too-guilty tasty pleasure, I seriously recommend you give these a try.
