So I was in Boston this weekend, and for the first time I spent the afternoon in the South End at the SoWa vintage market.
The weather was perfect for fall - mild and sunny - so being outdoors was great.
One half of the market place (really an outdoor lot full of pop tents) was a farmers market. Lots of gorgeous organic produce, brightly colored flowers, cool drinks, breads and pastries - even se dog treats!
On the other side, which you reach walking through an alley of quaint galleries, were rows of craftspeople selling their wares. Jewelry, baby clothes, home goods, accessories...the usual but fun and worthwhile nonetheless. One merchant was Sarah Porter (www.sarahporter.com) who was selling handbags, many of which were vegan! She said more and more people had been asking for non-leather bags so she created this adorable line.
I didn't buy one but I did buy this shirt - I laughed to hard when I saw it not to! If you're in Boston on a warm Sunday, grab your wallet and head to SoWa!
