By Eggskingoals

I have never tried a hydrogel sheet mask before. Puresa hydrogel Sheet Mask is my first hydrogel sheet mask. There are two variants in Puresa Hydrogel sheet mask line. One is Hyaluronic Acid + Ceramide, which hydrates skin deeply, and the second variant is Collagen + Royal Jelly, which helps in deeply nourishing the skin.

Ceramides are god send gift for dry, and eczema prone skin people like me. Ceramides help skin to restore its barrier system, and thus makes skin less irritant, and also provides good hydration.

Utena is a Japanese company founded in 1923, with "Truth, Goodness, and Beauty" as their policy. Puresa sheet masks line was introduced in the year 2004.

Although it is a Japanese company, I was surprised when I saw " Made in Korea " at the back of the sheet mask.

Utena Puresa Hydrogel sheet mask comes in 2 halves. First half is for the upper part of the face and the second half is for the bottom part of your face. Unlike normal sheet masks, the serum in the sheet mask is like gel. So there will be no dripping of serum on to your neck while wearing sheet mask. It fits so well to your face that you don't see a single air bubble to smooth over on your face. I have no expectations on this sheet mask, except that it will give some nice hydration to my skin. But, the results have surprised me.

Although, there is an added fragrance in the ingredients, I find no scent to the serum. I kept the sheet mask on my face for a good 30 minutes. The serum has completely absorbed by my thirsty skin. When I removed the mask, I found my skin is so even, and smooth. There is not even a slightest hint of oiliness on my face, and also my face looked plumped, and the fine lines around my nose seemed to be disappeared. WOW!!

By far, this is the best sheet mask I have used till now. And, the experience of hydrogel masking, made me want to try more hydrogel masks.

Pros:
  1. Adheres so well to the skin.
  2. Contains HA, and Creamide 3
  3. Hydrates skin.
  4. Makes skin plumpy by disappearing fine lines.
  5. Doesn't make skin oily.
Cons:
