Ever since Skinfood launched a new line of face masks called Freshmade masks in different flavours, I wanted to grab the Apple mask first. Because Skinfood claims this variant is for hydrating, and it also contains apple peel, and pulp extract. So I grabbed it immediately after it is available for purchase online. And let's see how it fared me.

This mask comes in a jar packaging without spatula. The mask has orange color to it, and looks like jelly. When I first opened the container, I felt the mask smells like an apple, and looks like an apple jam. But I was wrong. It has more of a Cherry Plum fruit scent than Apple, and texture is similar to apple sauce.
I used it on my cleansed face while it is still damp. Since, I am heavy handed, I scooped more than half tea spoon of mask from the jar, and massaged on my face for a couple of minutes. It has very strong scent that lingered till I stop massaging. While massaging I can feel the apple pulp in the mask, doing mild exfoliation on my skin.
After massaging is done, I left the mask on my face for about 15 minutes before washing off. All the while the mask is on my face, I can still notice the scent but definitely not that strong.
After washing off the mask, my face looked a little bit smooth, but definitely not hydrated. It just looked clean, and slightly brighter. And my forehead started to become tight in just 10 minutes after washing. Aaaarrgh!! I had very high hopes on this mask. But I didn't expect this at all.
I am very disappointed with the apple mask which did not keep my skin hydrated for at least 10 minutes. I will definitely NOT repurchasing this mask again.
