Urubko and Moro on Nanga Parbat

Having reviewed COLD just days ago, following the first Winter ascent of G2 by Cory Richards, Denis Urubko and Simone Moro I thought I'd let you know what the latter two are up to right now. The two highly skilled and incredible tough mountaineers are setting up to make an ascent of Nanga Parbat, one of the 14 8,000 meter peaks and one never before climbed in Winter.

According to sources the pair of climbers have already been up to Camp 1 to acclimatise, returning to Base Camp to recuperate and avoid poor conditions further up the mountain. A Polish team are also in the area, hoping to claim the first winter ascent as their own. Check out the awesome North Face Video Dispatches they're producing during the expedition.
