Urad Dal Carrot Bonda

By Harini
Here is an interesting and tasty twist to the usual urad dal bonda we prepare. Those who have been here for quite a while, will know my love for vegetables and I never miss a chance to sneak vegetables in any dish I make.So the other day I was preparing urad dal bonda and one lone carrot sitting in the fridge had its way through to this bonda.Medhu vadai and bonda are technically same (at least for me) other than the shape. It is one of those easiest snacks you can prepare with in a short notice of 30 minutes including soaking time! Please try and let me know:)

1.Instead of grinding carrot you can mix after grinding the batter for crunchy taste.
2.You can increase the amount of chilli and skip black pepper if you prefer.
3.You can skip asafoetida and add finely chopped onions to the batter.
