Unknown Festival 2014 Line-up: Chic, Disclosure and London Grammar

One of Europe’s youngest and sexiest dance music festivals returns in 2014 with a stellar programme, stunning location and 5 days of partying. Located by the beautiful town of Rovinj on the Adriatic coast in Croatia, Unknown comprises of five days of live bands, boat parties, and music across its beaches, forests and islands. There are also a whole host of art installations, roaming performers and games to keep you entertained at the festival site – open from Sunday 7th September to Tuesday 16th.

Unknown Festival 2014 Line-Up

This year’s programme is built around some of the biggest names on the UK festival scene over the past few years, as well as some rising stars looking to make names for themselves. Chic ft. Nile Rodgers will bring their electrifying live show to the Adriatic in September and are guaranteed to bring some disco vibes to the proceedings. Alternative bands, including CHVRCHES, Clean Bandit and Wild Beasts, make up a good proportion of the billing whilst there will also be live electronic performances from the likes of Moderat, Mount Kimbie and James Holden. Although there are more acts yet to be announced, the live line-up looks increasingly strong with the addition of Jungle, Ten Walls and Forest Swords, whilst there are sure to be huge crowds for the darlings of UK indie (and major Mercury 2014 contenders) London Grammar. Huge names from the UK house revival and electro club scene dominate the line-up as the likes of Disclosure, Erol Alkan and Jamie xx will be taking to the stage come September. Having both curated 12 week residencies at London’s infamous XOYO this year, The 2 Bears and Eats Everything will also be highly anticipated acts, whilst the likes of George FitzGerald, Waze & Odyssey and Optimo make the line-up simply irresistible. Even on top of all that, you can expect huge appearances from the always impressive Simian Mobile Disco, Heidi, Seth Troxler and Joy Orbison. Throw in a myriad smaller DJ sets and pop-up parties around the site at Rovinj, and you’ve got yourself a guaranteed week of fun from dusk till dawn.

Unknown Festival 2014 runs from Sunday 7th September to Tuesday 16th September, with the majority of main performances taking place between the 8th and 13th.
