It's the new TV show that everyone's talking about these days. I saw the pilot episode just a couple of days ago (I know I'm late) and decided I should write something about it, even though I laughed at it the entire time.
Don't get me wrong. There's nothing wrong with this show. I just happen to have seen The Simpsons (2007) movie, which was loosely based on the same Stephen King's book, and the scenes from that hilarious movie kept coming back to me while I was watching the Under the Dome pilot episode. I guess it kind of ruined the entire show for me. I wanted to try and see the show as something new, believe me I've tried but it didn't work. And no, I didn't read the book either.

Since Under the Dome was made based on Stephen King's best-selling book and gets help from famous guys like Steven Spielberg, the first episode of the film got over 13 million views in the US, followed by 11.81 million for the second episode. And of course the actors like Mike Vogel, Rachelle Lefevre, Natalie Martinez, Dean Norris and Britt Robertson makes the show really better.
I'm not going to rate this show because it would be unfair. And, I'm not going to watch the rest of the show either. It's already ruined for me and I think I have enough shows on my list that I can really enjoy.
I still can't think of why these show makers are tuning to make a lot of end of the world / apocalypse shows more than anything. We already have Walking Dead, Revolution, and Falling Skies, do we really need more?
