Tuscan Gems – Sassetta

By Ingridd @cosytraveler

This time Lars and I take you to a small historical village:

The road from Campiglia Marittima to Sassetta is a very pleasant one. Half of it takes you through meadows and vineyards, the other half is a curvy road through hilly forests. Sassetta itself is located on a hilltop. The center of the village has the usual pub, pizzeria and grocery shop; a narrow, steep road takes you to the cozy, small historical center. It takes you about an hour to explore the whole village.
