Tuscan Gems – Campiglia Marittima

Lars and I left the coast and went more inland:

The old center of this place is well preserved and you feel like walking around in a medieval town. We didn’t visit the Praetorian Palace nor the parish church, but chose to wander around in the narrow alleys, looking at small balconies and staircases, arches, plants and flowers. There are parts of Campiglia Marittima that date from the 8th – 9th century, but were rebuilt in the 15th – 16th century.
