Top 5 Nude Lipsticks - High Street Edition. When I talk about nude lipstick I don't mean concealer lips nude I am talking about a my lips but better shade or maybe a shade or two lighter. Being quite pale but with quite pigmented lips it means it can be quite hard to find a nude lipstick that works.
Recently the high street seems to have upped its game and I have found a nice selection of good quality nude lipsticks.
I thought I would share with you my Top 5 budget friendly nude lipsticks, these for me are the best out there at the moment.
My favorite lipstick at the moment has to be the Kiko Frosted Look Lipstick in 02 Rossetto. (£7.50) This is actually a matte lipstick that come in one of those chubby pencil packaging. It applies so smoothly and doesn't feel drying on the lips, the shade is the perfect my lips but better.
The most budget friendly nude lipstick I have found is the Makeup Revolution Amazing Lipstick in The One. (£1) At just £1 this is such an amazing quality lipstick. It is more of a brown nude compared to the others but doesn't wash my pale complexion out. It is pigmented with a slight glossy finish which doesn't last amazingly well on the lips but with it being such a low price point I don't mind reapplying.
The brand that does the most variations of nude lipsticks has to be Bourjois. My favorite Rouge Edition Lipstick is 39 Pretty In Nude (£7.99) it is the perfect mix of pink and brown. This is slightly lighter than my natural lip color which I like, its pigmented but feels really comfortable. Another shade that I also love is 04 Rose Tweed, this one is slightly more pink.
A slightly different formula and the palest shade I probably own is the Barry M Loud Mouth Extreme Lip Colour in Tell-Tale. (£3.99) This is one of those liquid lipsticks that are well pigmented and stay put all day. Tell-Tale is a light pink nude, it reminds me a lot of the Mac Lipstick in Hue but I find this easier to wear.
Finally the most luxe feeling lipstick from the high street is the L'Oreal Color Riche Lipstick in Barely Peach by Julianne. (£6.99) This is quite a glossy pink nude but still gives a good color pay off. It last well on the lips but the only thing I am not keen on is the scent which luckily doesn't stick around once the lipstick has been applied.
As you can see there is a real variation out there in colour, texture and price point. I think the lower end make up brands are upping their game and producing such gorgeous make up at the moment.
What is your go to nude lipstick?
