Top 5 Nude Lipsticks - High End Edition Last week I wrote a post all about my Top 5 Nude High Street Nude Lipsticks and I thought I would follow that up with my top 5 high end ones.
My all time favorite and probably oldest lipstick I own is Mac Creme Cup. (£15) This is a light blue toned pink that suits my fair skin, it is a cremesheen formula so feels comfortable on the lips whilst still being pigmented. I am not sure what I love so much about this lipstick but it is one I urge you to check out.
A close second in the favorite lipsticks has to be Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Naked. (£15.50) This is the perfect my lips but better shade for me, it isn't too pink or peach and the formula is perfect. It is well pigmented but creamy and just feels like it hugs the lips.
A newer lipstick I own is Estee Lauder Pure Colour Envy Lipstick in Desirable. (£24) I only have a little sample size of this which I purchased on eBay but I am really impressed with it. This is a pink nude which is slightly warmer than Mac Creme Cup for those of you who find that too cool toned. I adore the formula of this lipstick, it is so creamy and pigmented and stays put for a long while.
Going towards the very high end of the scale is Tom Ford Lip Colour in Pink Dusk. (£37) Everything about Tom Ford shouts luxury and this lipstick is no different. This is a similar shade to Urban Decay Naked, a slightly warm pink shade but this is a lot creamier in texture. I should wear this more but it is one of those make up items I like to stare at more than use....
I am cheating here and the last lipstick is actually two! I couldn't decide between Mac Hue (£15) and Mac Modesty. (£15)
Hue is what I call a true nude lip colour, it is a warm peach color that is lighter than you lips. This isn't the easiest to wear but with effort it does give you a gorgeous pale lip that looks amazing with a smokey eye.
Modesty is a brown toned lipstick but still with a bit of pink in it. It sits in the more my lips but better family and is just a bit different to the normal pink nudes I wear. I don't think it is a shade that gets enough credit.
Do let me know what your favorite high end nude lipstick is?
