In June 2016, one of my favorite body care brands - The Body Shop celebrated its 10th Anniversary in India. I have been using The Body Shop products since 2010, when I first came across this brand in Delhi and since then there’s no looking back. Out of my love for TBS products, I wanted to share my Top 10 favorites for those who are new to the brand and want to splurge on the products.

The Body Shop African Ximenia Body Scrub (Rs 2395)
The Body Shop has re-launched the African Ximenia Body Scrub as part of the Spa of the World Collection. I bought the old packaging for my mom on her birthday and this was lying half used in her drawer and I took the responsibility to finish this up :p This creamy and gentle exfoliating scrub is the best TBS scrub till date for its mild and pleasant warm scent that feels very luxurious. The softening scrub contains fine salt particles which gently exfoliates the skin and is very nourishing making it suitable for all skin types. Because of the oil infusion, the scrub works very well on dry parts, like elbows, knees, ankle, etc.

The Body Shop British Rose Exfoliating Gel Scrub (Rs 1295)
The British Rose range is one of the best by The Body Shop in my opinion and I absolutely love the fresh rose scent of the range. In my recent visit to the mall, I picked up the shower gel and exfoliating soap and gel body scrub from the range. The fine softening scrub particles gently exfoliates the skin and buffs away dead skin cells to leave skin soft, smooth and radiant. The sweet rose fragrance uplifts, inspires and makes you feel pretty. One of the best TBS scrub I’ve tried!

I purchased these gloves back in 2013 and have been using it non-stop. These bath gloves are very effective and exfoliate the body quickly in shower. The gloves whisks away dead skin cells very generously making the skin feel smoother after every usage. The Body Shop Bath Gloves are extremely gentle on the skin and are worth the price.

The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil (Rs 695)
This is one of the TBS best-selling products for women whose skin is prone to acne and after acne marks. It can be used directly on the affected areas or can be diluted as it is highly concentrated formula. This potent oil is an excellent spot treatment for blemishes and helps reduce acne and breakouts. I bought this for my mom when she was having frequent breakouts due to the tension and irregular eating habits during field trips of her college. She just used a q-tip dipped in Tea Tree Oil every night on the pimple and the size started reducing since the first use. It is a gem products for mild to moderate acne for everyone!

The Body Shop Frosted Plum Shower Gel (Rs 425)
I love the packaging of TBS Shower Gels and that’s my reason to own them more and more :p This is my recent addition to the TBS shower gel collection. I’m in love with the fruity scent of Plum, Peony and Magnolia, so refreshing and sweet at times and linger on my night dress till next morning. The Frosted Plum range is modeled along the natural plum color – a deep gothic purple. The shower gel is a clear purple gel housed in the regular The Body Shop plastic bottle with flip top cap. The consistency of the gel is slightly on the thicker side. It is a soap free cleanser that lathers gently and cleanses the skin quite well. It doesn’t dry out my skin as I don’t feel the need to moisturize my skin immediately after bath.

The Body Shop Rose Body Butter has air whipped texture which is super hydrating and moisturizing to the skin. It keeps the skin soft and supple throughout the day and the refreshing rose scent makes me use it every day.

My go to product when I’m travelling! Easy to use tin tub packaging with screw on lids hold the solid wax perfectly. The texture is white waxy balm like which transforms to a thick transparent oil when rubbed with fingers. It effectively removes every trace of waterproof makeup (mascara) to all day long foundations. It is not at all harsh to skin and makes skin supple after every use. A great product for makeup lovers but this is always OOS everywhere so better buy one for yourself when you find it in stores.

This cream is one of The Body Shop best-selling products for dry skin beauties. The complete Vitamin E range is specially designed for dry and dehydrated skin and the Vitamin E Intense Moisture Cream is loved by everyone. It locks in moisture for long hours and helps in keeping skin supple and hydrated for long hours. It has jelly-like texture and feels cool on the skin. I have used 2-3 tubs when I shifted to Hyderabad last year and it helped me a lot in keeping my skin hydrated and silky smooth in the extremely dry weather. A must-have for super dry skin!

The Body Shop tea Tree BB Cream is a moisturizing base product for combination skin for an everyday wear. It delivers medium coverage and hides minor flaws pretty well. The staying power is decent of 4-5 hours but I’m in love with this product. The presence of Tea Tree Oil makes this apt for oily skin as well. The BB cream has light weight texture, performs well on humid weather conditions and is available in 3 shades.

The Body Shop Tea Tree Blemish Fade Night Lotion (Rs 995)
The night lotion is loved by many as it helps in getting rid of acne scars and at the same time controls the breakouts of acne. The formula is very light weight and gets absorbs easily. I have been using this cream since a year now and have finished almost 3-4 bottles till yet; this has definitely helped in keeping my skin hydrated and blemish free. The pump packaging makes this hygienic and travel friendly. A must have for acne prone skin.
