tomato pasta - classic italian pasta with cheese.I did not add cheese here,here the Italian Parmesan cheese is used on top while serving.I already shared Indian style pastas of tow varieties like Masala pasta and paneer pasta.Check that too for easy pasta recipe ideas.
this is my first try on Italian style and i used farfelle pasta for the recipe.You can use any other pasta varieties for the recipe.this tastes so classy and i think it will goes well with parmesan cheese too.I want the plain one so i did not used cheese here.The flavor of dry herbs like basil and oregano makes it more aromatic and this is perfect for the season too.
Ingredients
- pasta - 1 cup
- Tomato - 3 nos
- dry italian herbs - 1 teaspoon
- garlic - 2 cloves
- chilli flakes - 1/4 teaspoon
- Pepper powder - as needed
- olive oil or refined oil - as needed
- salt - to taste
- Blanch the tomatoes and make the puree.Blanching means put the tomatoes in boiling water,once the skin shrinks remove it from water and then peel the skin.
- Cook the pasta in enough water with salt and oil to al dente.drain it and set aside.
- Now heat oil in kadai then add the chopped garlic to it.
- Add the tomato puree to it and cook till it comes to a thick sauce.
- Add pepper powder(as per your taste),chilli flakes,italian herbs like oregano and basil to it and mix it well.
- Finally little salt to it and add pasta and give a quick toss.
- Add finely chopped fresh coriander to it and switch off the flame.
- Serve as it is or with grated cheese.
