Tipsy Tales - 22 March 2014 + A Lot Of Catch Up! :) - Rainbow Honey, Illamasqua, Zoya, Butter London

By Makeupguineapig @MakeUpGuineaPig
It's been quite some time since I posted one of my "weekly" polish posts. I wish I could say I had a good excuse, but I either just plain didn't feel like doing it or didn't have pictures taken yet. No good excuses here! But, I'm back today with each polish I've worn from my last post to the current day with one exception. I just never got a picture taken before the polish chipped, so that one will just have to be left to the imagination. So, let's get into it!!! :)
Tipsy Tales - 22 March 2014 + A Lot Of Catch Up! :) - Rainbow Honey, Illamasqua, Zoya, Butter London
My first choice was from Rainbow Honey, which makes some really beautiful shades btw! I definitely want some of their Midnight Garden Collection, but that's not the point here because this is from a different collection called "The Summer of 199X." The color is called "Mint Flavor," which is a bright, bold mint with silver shimmer. It's much brighter than I expected, but it's pretty and great for Spring and Summer. The shimmer doesn't really show up on the nails, which made me happy because I didn't want a shimmering mint! It took me 3 coats to get it perfectly even, I think that's mainly because I'm terrible at painting my nails despite seeming to do it every few days! :) Anyway, it's a gorgeous polish, but not quite what I expected.

Next up, we have Zoya's Jacqueline. I was always curious about this color - I think it came out last Spring - and I debating buying it over and over again. Finally, during their last promotion, I finally left it in my shopping cart and I'm really glad I did! :) It's halfway between a cream and a really pale buttercup yellow. It's absolutely gorgeous and a nice take on a subtle nail shade. This also took me 3 coats due to my impatience between coats. :)

Now begins my Butter London phase. I have most of the shade from last years Spring Collection because it was soooo pretty, but I've never really worn any of them. I think I picked them up throughout the Fall and Winter, so they just never felt appropriate. Anyway, my first choice was Molly Coddled and it is stunning! Again, it's 3 coats, but the color is worth it! It's a beautiful pinkish tinged lilac and I absolutely adore it! My only complaint - and it's kind of a big one - is that it chipped pretty quickly. :( But that just gave me a chance to try another shade, so I'm not crying too hard!

Sticking to Butter London and their wondrous world of candy-colored pastels, I chose Fiver next. Same chipping problem. Boo! And another 3 coater…for me. It's a really nice shade, but there are plenty of mints around and Fiver is basically just a nice creamy pale mint shade. I really like this shade, but I'm not sure I'd race out to add it my collection if I didn't already have it.

Still sticking with Butter London, my next pick was Kerfuffle, but I never managed to get a picture. It also chipped quickly and took 3 coats with my painting skills. It's a really gorgeous pastel peach with a touch of pink. It was pretty much the same as the past two shades, just peachier. :)
Finally, since St. Patrick's Day was on the horizon, I grabbed a beautiful green from Illamasqua called Venous. It's slightly deeper and more teal than it appears in the photos, but it's a decent representation of the polish. This only took 2 coats, and I like it so much that once it chipped horribly…I've been out of commission most of the week so I really couldn't be bothered with nail polish!…I reapplied it! :) I'm a sucker for greens and teals and this is kind of between a kelly or emerald green and a greenish-teal (in person at least - greens are just a nightmare to photograph accurately). It's really gorgeous, although it is probably quite similar to a number of other basic greens that I have. But I still adore it! :)

And that's it! For me, it's actually not that many polishes. Sad, but true. :) Hope you enjoyed and let me know what colors you're loving for Spring because I am SO happy it's finally here…even though there's snow predicted for this coming week. C'mon already! :) Anyway, Spring is probably one of my favorite times of year and I love Spring colors! Hopefully I will get this up again next week, but I don't want to make any promises given my recent track record! :) Until next time, thanks for stopping by! :)
