Tiger Dublin Fringe

By Thedublindiary @TheDublinDiary
The Tiger Dublin Fringe started last Friday so I'm a little late posting about it here! I really don't want to let it pass though without drawing your attention to it. There are loads of events running throughout the city until Saturday 20th of October. Check out the official website here for loads more details.

I kicked off the Fringe in real style on board Dublin Bay Cruises' St Bridget. You might remember me writing about it before, back in June 2013, when I spent a stunning afternoon traveling from Dun Laoghaire to Howth. They now have a berth at Sir John Rodgersons Quay in the city center and traveling in and out of Dublin Harbour means you get up close and personal with all the mammoth sized ships in the port as well as the Pigeon House chimneys. It was a picturesque trip bathed in the light of the setting sun.

We returned to the dock just in time to see Ulysses Opera's Harp|A River Cantata performed on the Samuel Beckett Bridge. It was quite a spectacular show with performers "playing" the bridge as if it were a giant harp! It was amazing viewing especially from our special vantage point on board the St Bridget.

I was lucky enough to be invited to the event by Emily from Yelp. If you aren't a Yelper yet it's certainly worth checking them out, they organize lots of similar events to this one and it's a great way to get to know your city better as well as meeting some fantastic new friends!
So, what are your Fringe plans?
