Dag van de Kringwinkel takes place across Flanders today, with various events and promos in the second hand shops (Kringwinkels) of Antwerp. There are a number of these across the city and it is a well-organised day in that each store has a different type of product focus -eg. if you are looking for a secondhand bike, head to the Kringwinkel in Borgerhout. You can see what each Antwerp store is offering in the first column of this .pdf.
As the weather turns a bit, parents might be looking for indoor activities and events to keep little ones occupied. Boekstart at Permeke is a read-aloud (in Dutch) for kids aged 0-4, starting at 11pm -it’s free -just turn up with your small person at the kids’s section of the library.
It’s the event that for many of us means summer is truly done Bar Noord in Park Spoor Noord is closing this weekend – you can enjoy the last party from 4pm.
Antwerp Art Book Fair is an annual art book fair event (this is the 6th year) taking place at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp (Mutsaardstraat 31) from 10am- 6pm. It is the largest event of this kind in the Benelux region

More book-love at the library with the monthly second hand book fair on de Coninckplein: Boekenplein takes place from 10am -4pm.
This weekend should be mild (15-16 degrees with sunny spells) but there will be chances of light showers over on Saturday and Sunday afternoon.
