Hi everyone. The coming week in Astro terms is sort of a mirror image of last week, in so much as one of the inner planets enters the Saturn Uranus square to turn up the heat. Last week it was Mars in the mix, and this week Venus will be the star of the show.
The week begins today on the 5th July with the Sun moving into a nice sextile with Uranus, so a day of moving ahead and one of trying new things out. It's a chance to look into the future without the consequences of being criticised for it. Science, technology and collective group issues may dominate your agenda.
Tomorrow, the 6th finds the last Mercury square to Neptune, the third in a series of three that have been affecting us since Mercury went retrograde back in June. When these planets hook up in a square, then reality becomes blurred, and as Mercury is still in Gemini, expect mixed messages, confusion as to what others want and try not to commit to anything important as the truth will not be as straightforward as it seems. You can fall prey to scams and illegality if you are not careful.
On Wednesday 7th, Venus moves into an opposition with Saturn and simultaneously forms a trine with Chiron. Venus is the planet of values and desires and there may be a level of disappointment that comes out of this day. You might not be able to get exactly what you want, somebody may hurt you, or the amount of love or money and resources you expect to receive may not come up to your expectations.
Relationships may be strained and there may be a harshness in the air that you pick up on. Now there may be extenuating circumstances causing the cold or somewhat frugal atmosphere, and the healing trine to Chiron will be one of understanding and sympathy as you learn why all this is happening.
Getting to Thursday 8th July, Mercury forms an adjusting inconjunct to Pluto as Venus moves into a square with Uranus. This is potentially tricky energy. The motivation to break away and form new ties or break the mould will be very strong after the blockages and disappointments of the day before, but in doing so, you may be manipulated or coerced into making decisions that are unwise or just plainly idiotic. Values may be tossed aside, and a new way of thinking may emerge. It is possible that the changes that we decide to enact will be ones that look exciting, but Uranus connections rarely last, and so expect any shifts to be temporary ones.
The weekend sees a caring Cancerian New Moon on Saturday 10th July, and finally things should calm down a lot. This is a moment for family and for those who are held close to your heart, and for concentrating on matters close to home. Emotions will be fired up, but in a good way, and I can see a lot of love in the air. Mercury shifts into the sign of Cancer following on after this lunation, and the tone of everything will take on a much more humane and sympathetic hue. Rather than being focused on ideas and concepts, we will look for a much more personal type of connection. This will be a patriotic weekend where the emotions rise, and being there for the ones we love, and for one another, will be our prime motivation.
