As previously mentioned, I am currently on a much needed vacay. First stop was San Francisco for a few, and let me just say- I effing love this amazing city. So much so, I am seriously considering moving. The only complaint I have? It is so incredibly cold, I don’t know if I could make it. Although I do love layering…
So we had a really great time wondering the streets perusing all the fun things to see on Haight & Ashbury (my favorite), eating insane food, and of course… shopping.
If you are heading to the city anytime soon, I have some great recommendations to share:
+ Head to Haight & Ashbury and make a stop at a clothing store called X Generation, there are 2 & they each have some different stuff, so if you have time- check out both. Also pop your head in some of the awesome vintage stores, if you like to search you will be sure to find a gem.
+ Another cute store that I was fond of was called San Franpsycho… it’s got a kind of surfer/skater vibe yet it is all custom and they can pretty much screen print what you want while you wait.
+ If you are a fan of italian food, Ragazza is a must. For our starter we noshed on a fig, fennel, pistachio, and goat cheese salad which was ridiculously amazing. Next course was pizza… in which we (after much indecisiveness) decided on a wild nettles portobello mushroom pizza with an egg in the center… I was iffy at first… until I took a bite. I will forever dream of that pizza pie.
+ I have heard of Umami burgers before, but since I am not a huge meat eater, I never indulged… plus the closest one to me is in Los Angeles. My cousin is a huge advocate that everyone must try an Umami burger… now I see why. Their truffle burger is the most popular one on the menu, and it’s a real party in your mouth.
+ Last, but certainly not least- if you are looking for a good time, yummy beer, & a great atmosphere…. make your way to Southern Pacific. A friend from SD who is a San Fran transplant invited me to meet him for a brew (or two…three… four), and although I was already in my jammys… I got my butt up and out. This place is the epitome of San Francisco, and so sick. Ch-ch-ch-check it out.
I love love love all the peeps jammin’ on the streets… especially the couple who sang acoustic version of some serious gangster rap.
A Janis Joplin tribute of course caught my eye, and camera.
Obsessed with Andy Warhol… and street art. Check out more of this artists’ rad work here.
This is me (obvs) at Southern Pacific being a tree hugger (it is SF after all).
