I’m uncertain who said this – however I read that it hung in Albert Einstein’s office at Princeton:
“Not everything that counts can be counted, and not everything that can be counted counts.”
It got me thinking – I’m in business – have heard since school days that tracking things, counting the cost, keeping track is vital – and it’s true too. What gets measured does get attention –
However this is about something deeper – not everything that counts can be counted –
What counts in your life?
Love – happiness – freedom – health – How do we count these?
Can anyone have enough love, happiness, freedom or health? Even as we have plenty – we seek more – and it seeks us.
What do we count that really doesn’t count?
Possessions, sick days, members? What do these numbers give us?
Today my challenge for us is this –
What counts in your life? What is most vital? What do you want?
Are you focused on the days of your life – or the life in your days?
Make today count – make your love count – give yourself and see what happens –
Here’s a site with some things that count to me… www.americanspeaker.com
