In India, whether temperature is soaring high or our feet are almost numb in winters, flip-flops are like those perinnial plants that cling to our houses forever, never to wither. What my point is that this post is important for you! Before I start, let's take a moment and look at the colors, the make and the sexiness of these chappals. They might remind you of Tommy Hilfiger but they are actually NUON Men by Westside. These remind me if hunky beach boys who are leisurely walking around in their white trunks and gray vests with their hats on. Too far! I know. In short, I really like these and so did V, my better half. But there is a probem when V likes something ....
... He has sweaty feet that means he cannot wear all kind of footwear and for that one reason, we thought we hit the jackpot. These gray base with dots are made of faux suede like fabric that feels like canvas when worn. We actually just thought that they will soak the sweat just fine and it would be easy for V to walk in.
And it did exactly the same. But long story short - the base/sole of these were total disappointment. They bent, inwards making feet sunk-in. Such condition of a footwear doesn't only make it difficult to walk but also looks bad.
So, V turned to his Kolhapuri Chappals for his happy feet and ditched this beauty whch could have been just fine if kept on the rack.
I would like to add that it is not like they did not serve well but I personally feel down when something that looks so good, spoil itself bwcause of the quality.
These soles in the picture turned out to be so slippery that I want to ask for insurance in future from whatever brands produce such soles in their factories.
Priced at Rs.699 (I guess), we, the consumers deserve better if not the best.
