You all know how I LOVE getting glammed up but lately I have been aiming for the "casual (cool) chic" look. Especially on the weekends or these horrible rainy days NYC has been getting. Nothing says "I'm totally chill" like a pair of floral harem pants. Or is this something I only think? Since you definitely wouldn't ever catch me strolling the streets (unless I am walking my dog) wearing sweats, this is kind of the closet thing to casual wear for me.

The boyfriend was away in LA this past week, so I knew I was spending the weekend with him- no matter what. We decided to hang out in our favorite borough, Brooklyn. The perfect place for fine eating and thrift shopping, all while people watching. I mean, how many places can you find a lady dragging luggage down the street while wearing a traditional Guatemalan dress? Not many places, my friends.
It still isn't 90+ degrees yet where I am, so I can pull off a fun print with layers. I love layering my outfits. The more I can out on, the better. I am really not looking forward to scorching hot weather. But since we aren't there yet, I will bask in this awesome weather.
