Yet again, this week has been rather uneventful in kitten land. Bailey is slowly being accepted more and more by most of the cats. The only exception is Emerson – the former baby. Emma hates Bailey, but she never does more than growl and hiss at her. Mini and Chloe rarely, if ever, bother Bailey, and Moxie hisses and growls occasionally. As for Barclay, I think he feels left out again because Bailey much prefers to be near the other cats. Poor Barclay!
All of the cats are slowly learning to like the new cat tree, but none of them like it as much as the old one. Shocking for cats! J I have seen each one of them in it at some point though, so that’s a good start. They’re not using it much for scratching however, which is really the main reason I bought the old one. Hopefully they’ll start.
The only other real “event” was another trip to the vet for little Bailey. She needed a distemper booster and I thought they’d give her a rabies shot at the same time. They decided since she’s still sneezing some and her left eye was red and watery again that it would be better to wait on the rabies shot. Apparently ragdoll cats are prone to watery eyes, but it was a bit red so she’s been getting drops again and some vitamins and minerals. She’s a whopping 3.3lbs which is up a bit since last time, but I think they had hoped for a bit more. I suspect she’s going to be a small kitty when she grows up! 4 think they had hoped for a bit more. I suspect she’s going to be a small kitty when she grows up!
So that’s been Bailey’s week. Well, of course there’s been a lot of playing and sleeping too! J
