From my perspective, it seems like it’s been a rather uneventful week for Bailey. I’m guess that Bailey might disagree! She is pretty much integrated into the rest of the house now and, thus, with the rest of the cats! I think she loves it and the other cats are getting a little better with her each day. There’s not much hissing and I believe I actually saw her playing with Chloe a few times, and Chloe doesn’t play with anyone! Bailey seems thrilled to be with the rest of her kind.
Screw this diet food! Look girls! Kitten food!!!
Though Bailey is happy with the cats, Barclay is a bit lonely again. The little kitten he thought was a good friend has decided she’d rather play with the big cats and he’s left all alone again. Poor pooch! They were playing together earlier in the week though. Bailey had a great time pouncing on Barclay’s tail, while Barclay looked a bit unsure about the whole thing. Bailey also learned not to disturb Barclay when he has a great piece of rawhide. She made the mistake of trying to play while he was happily gnawing on a rawhide turkey. He tolerated her for quite a while, but eventually snapped at her. She was frightened, but unhurt. So, lesson learned!
Yup, I stole Barclay's ball.
Nope, I'm not gonna play with it.
I’ve been trying to get her accustomed to grooming, especially since she has a long coat. She seems to only tangle right behind her ears. I find myself trying to gently brush out pretty big mats on a regular basis. She seems to enjoy being brushed, so that helps a lot. I managed to trim her front claws as well, and she was pretty well behaved. Emerson is the only other cat that will let me even come near her claws, and it’s still questionable whether or not I will get just one foot trimmed! Thank you Bailey for being a well-behaved kitten! J
She found a lipstick that was clearly fascinating this week. I was taking pictures of it because I take pictures of everything before I use it – my fellow bloggers will relate! J She came over while I was taking a picture and got her nose right into the lipstick. It must smell amazing because she ended up with a little red dot on the side of her nose! It probably would have been worse, but I managed to hold her back. J
Yummy lipstick! Smells like flowers!
The cat tree I ordered arrived this week. All of the cats were fascinated while I assembled this new wonder. The excitement and curiosity lasted maybe an hour tops. Now they’re mad at me for taking away the old one! Initially I just moved the old one next to the new one, but they wouldn’t touch the new one. Then I moved it further away in a weird and undesirable spot for napping. Apparently it was still preferable to the cats. Eventually I had to put it completely out of their sight. Now they seem to be taking over my bed! I’m hoping that it will just take a little time for them to adjust to the new tree, but I’m not holding my breath because I’ve met cats before! J If I have to, I will bring their favorite home back and just try to patch it up the best I can, but I really don’t want to do that!
You can't take this away! We all love it!

Cat fight!
This house does not smell right!
Look what I found this morning!
Maybe all is not lost!
I think that’s pretty much it. It hasn’t been too eventful around here this week, which is probably a good thing! J I hope you’ve enjoyed this week in kitten!!!
