The Wait is Over, The Book is Here

By Crossstitchyourheart @TMNienaber

Well, I’m happy to say that all this madness is finally over and the book is now here!  I’m a little sick of reading it myself, but that’s what happens when you have to review, edit, revise, and tamper with things.  I finally feel like this book is exactly what I intended it to be and I can stand behind it with pride.  Is it perfect?  Of course not, but I’m happy with it and I’ve enjoyed the ride.  Which is also the phrase I will keep repeating to myself  as all those angry Amazon reviewers come out of the wood work and start tearing my poor book apart.  That’s okay too though, I’m the one that chose to put my book out there for the world and I can’t control what other people think (or choose to post on the internet).  Can you tell I’m steeling myself for the worst? Haha.

The Wait is Over, The Book is Here
Anyway, worries aside it really is an interesting book and I hope some of you will take the time to read it.  You can download it for free here.  And here’s the description and some previously written reviews:

How much would you pay to come back from the dead? This is the question which gives Kristopher’s presidential campaign an unbeatable edge. As the world is on the verge of World War III, Kristopher sees a way to make sure he stays in power forever. As long as there is war there is death, and as long as Kristopher has power to bring back the dead he has the power to run a country. After sealing a deal with necromancer, Lucian, Kristopher takes his place as the unquestioned leader of a country…but things aren’t as easy as he anticipated. Life comes at a heavy cost and the more he pays the more he realizes things aren’t what they seem. Kristopher and Lucian may have neutralized the threat of a World War, but their power struggle starts one of the most dangerous civil wars in history. The necromancers are rising against the politician with an undead army even the best trained soldiers can’t stand against and the country is fracturing, choosing to flee to gated communities rather than fight with either side.

One of these compounds holds the key to keeping the necromancers under control and bringing the country back under the control of its tyrannical leader. Her name is Miriel, assassin partner of Lucian, and the only one who can bring him back under control. As the war reaches its climax it becomes a race to see who can get to her first. But nothing is what it seems, and no one knows what waits for them behind the walls…

REVIEWS

The Price of Life brilliantly combines elements of politics, the supernatural, and humanity’s ever-present quest for immortality… To say that Nienaber’s debut novel is a marvelous piece of writing would be an understatement. –Syliva Cochran from Horror, The Deepening (http://horror.thedeepening.com)

What do you get when you cross a ruthless politician, a heartless necromancer and the best assassin in the business? Zombies, vampires, secret walled communities, murder, mayhem and a book that’s difficult to put down! — Vix from Magical Mutterings (http://magickalmutterings.wordpress.com)

After this things should be getting back to normal blog wise.  I’ve got lots of project updates to show you and books to read myself.  If you do happen to read my book please take the time to review on Goodreads and/or Amazon if you can.  Feedback is pretty much life or death in the indie game.  I promise this is the last time I’ll pander for reviews as well.  So wish me luck, we’re in for an adventure here…

Hope you all have a lovely Sunday and Happy Jubilee weekend to all my followers overseas.  I’ll be honest…I’m not entirely sure how you celebrate but it looks like fun so I hope you’re enjoying.
