The Song of Chavismo

Hit a Man Enough Times, and He Might Just Start Hitting Back

The Venezuelan people have looked into the eyes of the Opposition. They know them well.

Defiant, the former slaves rise before their old masters, and a song fills the air, The Song of Chavismo:

A Singing Comes Across the Sky

They sing:

We know who you are, Opposition people! And we are not going back to your Old Rule. Unless you change and accept the New Word, the Word of Chavismo, you will never rule this land again.

We have moved on. It’s a New Era. Your cruel Old God of barbarism and vengeance is gone. He and his Old Ways have been passed over, replaced with Mercy, and we no longer must abide by the your Old Laws.

There is good news for Venezuelans.

There came a New Man in town preaching a New Word, and with it a New Dispensation, a New Theology of Liberation.

The New World Israel to the South comes complete with its own Church of Chavismo and its very own martyred prophet bathed in red.

The Old People don’t get the promised land anymore. The Church is the New Venezuela.
