This small town is situated about 30 kilometers to the west of Budapest. It’s not really a touristic destination, but it does have one interesting landmark: the ruins of the Premonstratensian church. It was built in the 13th century and was destroyed by the Mongolians in the same century. It was rebuilt later, but in the 18th century an earthquake completely destroyed it again.

After this disaster, the church wasn’t reconstructed again. Instead, the inhabitants chose to build to build a completely new one, somewhere else in town. But the ruins of the original church are still there. And you can visit them. They are located on a high hill, so you can’t miss them.
