The Most Popular Town – Part 1

By Ingridd @cosytraveler

A huge surprise awaited us when we arrived in Krk, the main town of the island with the same name: lots and lots of tourists. Pubs and restaurants were doing some very good business and it took us about half an hour to find a place to park the car:

But let us be honest: Krk is indeed a charming town. It is one of the oldest places of the Adriatic. There are still remnants of the medieval city wall and there are lots of narrow cobbled streets to get lost in.

And then there are two very beautiful sites, right next to each other, the Assumption Church and a roman church, dedicated to St. Quirinus.
