There is nothing "mid" or "middle" about The Midway State. This up and coming band from Toronto hits high marks in my opinion! Their music, simply stated, sounds great, especially the piano ballads. They are adorable (yes, Nathan's Afro makes me swoon) and they are Canadian. How can you not love these guys? And to be completely objective, I've seen them live a few times and they rock the room consistently so it's not a fluke that the crowd was buzzing when they took the stage at Osheaga this summer.Let me quickly get back to Nathan's hair. The word on the street is that it's Au Natural... well, whatever it is, it works for him. *more swoon*
The band just announced their tour dates. If you don't check them out, you'll regret it. Tickets are still cheap so you better see them live now ... soon they'll pack stadiums and we'll have to dish out hundreds of dollars. Hungry husband is equally as in love with this band as I am (completely platonic of course). I think he tweeted (albeit slightly under the influence of vodka) that The Midway State is Canada's U2. Hmmm. No pressure guys!
