The Men's Sneaker

By Kels_chaz22 @kels_chaz22
OK guys, so I know that tennis shoes/sneakers/whatever you may call them tend to be the pride and joy of your closet (that is, besides your watch, of course). So don't go crazy on me if you don't love my suggestions on sneakers. :) Anywho, I tend to be a fan of the more understated and neutral look when it comes to men's shoes. I'm not a fan of flashy colors or detail- I think it tends to make you look like you're trying too hard. So I've taken it upon myself to pick out a few of my favorites. You can never go wrong with Chuck Taylors in my mind. They been around for years and they'll be around for years to come. They're the classic, simple, but cool and casual shoe. Dress them up (to an extent) dress them down- they pretty much go with everything. High-tops are fine, lace-ups are better, but the slip-ons are the best. They generally run a little big, so buy 1/2 size smaller than what you normally wear. These leather high-tops are cool too and could be dressed up more than their canvas counterparts.
So this next shoe, stay with me here, is the suede New Balance sneaker. I know what you're thinking, "This girl has completely lost it and needs to get herself out of the 90s because those are old school." I prefer to call them vintage, but whatever works. I don't know what it is about this shoe that I like, but I think they are so cool! Maybe it's because they remind me of my Kangaroo's with the little side zipper pocket where I used to keep my change. I was REALLY cool. Let me tell you. Either way, these sneakers are a cool but casual option that any guy to wear.
Another one of my favorite brands for men's sneakers is Common Projects. These are REALLY hard to find, so if you can get your hands on a pair, I would suggest you snag them up quick, because they will be gone before you know it. The brand is relatively new- it was launched in 2004. Their style is unanimous with simplicity- clean lines and a minimalist design are their M.O. Fun fact: Each shoe is handmade in the U-S-of-A and to prove it, each pair has its own serial number etched on the outside of the shoe. It's a cool detail that gives your tennis shoes a more personalized feel.
And if that's not enough for you, I've picked out a few other miscellaneous shoes that I like. Like I said before, don't rip my head off if you don't agree. I realize that shoes are your everything.  But I'm just telling you from a girl's perspective what I like to see. Just a little food for thought.
