As I’ve said before, I had the opportunity to see The Isaacs perform back in 2014 at a Gaithers Christmas show in Estero, Florida. I took my mother to the show because she loves the Gaithers, but I wasn’t expecting to enjoy the music myself – that is, until I heard The Isaacs, and I was completely taken in by their incredible harmonies from the moment they started singing until they went off stage. They were awesome!
The Isaacs, a multi-award winning country and bluegrass gospel family group who began singing 35 years ago is based out of Hendersonville, Tennessee. The vocalists are mother Lily Isaacs and siblings Ben Isaacs, Sonya Isaacs Yeary and Rebecca Isaacs Bowman, along with John Bowman (husband of Becky Isaacs) as an instrumentalist and songwriter.
Playing their own acoustic instruments and joined by other band members, The Isaacs have a unique style that blends tight family harmony with contemporary acoustic instrumentation that appeals to a variety of audiences. Their musical style has been influenced by many genres of music including bluegrass, rhythm and blues, folk, and country, contemporary, acoustic and southern gospel.
They perform frequently on the Grand Ole Opry and are active members of the Gaither Homecoming videos and concert series, as well as travel the world performing. They have won 7 GMA Dove Awards and have several GRAMMY nominations, IBMA, NQA, ICMA and other organization honors, including playing Carnegie Hall and various historic halls throughout the world.
The Isaacs, the highly regarded multiple award-winning family group, is set to release an inspirational project reflecting many personal highs and lows through nature’s tune of 432. “Nature’s Symphony” is recorded in “Verdi’s A tuning” which is warm and gentle to the ear. Scientific experiments have proven that birds sing, whales bellow and the untrained human voice naturally sing in 432 tuning.
Born out of a season of pain and struggle, each song is a personal testimony that speaks to the faithfulness of God and offers praise and rejoicing to the Lord through the trials of life. After much research and prayer, the group chose to record the project in 432 tuning, the frequency which most closely reflects the sounds found in nature, further setting this 15-song collection apart from other recorded albums. Also of interest is that the executive producer on this record is none other than NFL Hall of Famer and sports commentator, Terry Bradshaw, who has a guest vocal appearance on the record.
I have to say that my favorite song on the CD is I Love You More. It is absolutely beautiful and breathtaking to me. Take a listen for yourself:
