Before I became pregnant with Little Mr A I was a bit of a handbag fiend. I loved them! I had lots of different bags for all different occasions; work bags, going ‘out out’ bags (in the days when we could actually go ‘out out’!), everyday bags for shopping, bags for going to festivals/gigs; name me an occasion I would have a bag (or three!) for it! They might not all have been expensive ones but they were all carefully chosen by either myself or relatives who helped me out with my handbag obsession.
Once I became pregnant, and started looking for all the items we would need for a new baby, I discovered the wonder that is baby changing bags! I had no idea there were so many different types available and so many accessories for them!
It was a tough decision picking our first change bag. Big Mr A wanted something that he could carry around too if he was out and about on his own with Little Mr A, without it looking too girly!
Eventually, after looking at, and playing with, what felt like hundreds, we chose a lovely blue and brown flowery change bag that had lots of pockets together with a matching thermal bottle bag and a change mat. We used the bag up until Little Mr A was around 3 ½ and not needing nappies when out and about anymore.
When we were preparing for Little Miss A to come along we dug out our old change bag, however, it was looking a bit worn so we decided to treat ourselves to a new one! Four years had passed and there was a whole new range of change bags on the market and, once again, we had a good play with lots before making a decision on a bag that came with separate pods you could take out depending on what you needed.
Since then I have also won another fab changing bag in a raffle at Blog On so we are spoilt for choice!
I could quite easily become as addicted to buying change bags as I was handbags and have seen some beautiful Storksak bags over on the Baby Lurve website that I will certainly be keeping in mind for next time!
