BREAKING – Warner Bros. has decided to follow the trend it created with Harry Potter and split Christopher Nolan‘s The Dark Knight Rises into two films.

It has proven to be a successful tactic thus far maximizing the profits that the final chapters in the Harry Potter and Twilight series. There is even talk of splitting the final film of The Hunger Games series now that has proven to be a blockbuster. There was a conversation with Christopher Nolan asking him about the change.
Nolan says, ‘In Inception, I always wanted to do two endings to the film. One where Cobb was reunited with his family and one where he was trapped in Inception. Now Warner Bros has given me the chance to put two different endings onto the finale for Batman. Christian [Bale] was excited about the news of shooting a second ending as well.’ In fact, Bale was seen yelling at some of crew in a highly excited manner. When Tom Hardy‘s Bane was asked what he thought of the news of the two films, we couldn’t understand his response.
Part 1 of The Dark Knight Rises comes to theaters on July 18, 2012.
