The Beach And The Art Of Observing People

By Ingridd @cosytraveler

In case you think that Lars and I hurried from one place to another the whole time during our stay in Albania, you couldn’t be more wrong… We did spend some considerable time on the local beach as well.

I love being on the beach. I love to swim – or better: to splash around – in the sea. I love relaxing on a comfortable sunbed and reading a book. But what I – and Lars as well for that matter – love most is observing people. Some things that attracted our attention were:

  • There are still men who think that (white) socks and sandals are a beautiful combination.
  • Some women come to the beach with a lot of makeup on. I wonder how healthy it is when your face is in the sun all day.
  • We admire people who swim with sunglasses on and don’t lose them in the big waves.
  • Lars and I start to think that we are the only ones on this planet without a tattoo or piercing. If I wasn’t scared of needles, I would get a tattoo. Probably one mentioning “Lars”.
  • Consuming beer at 9 in the morning?
  • Every morning the same Albanian family tried to convince their daughter that it is fun to be in the sea. They only gave up after the poor child screamed and cried continuously for an hour.
  • Bob Marley is still popular at beach bars!

Anyway, here are the pictures!
