The 3 Product Facial #1

By Brightowngirl @Brightowngirl
Once a week I try and give myself a mini pamper and give my skin a good treat. If any of you follow Vivianna Does MakeUp you will have heard of the triple threat facial. You basically use an exfoliator, a deep cleansing mask and moisture mask, one after the other to give your skin a good clean and boost. Well this is what I try and do once a week, sometimes every two weeks if I am short on time.
I own far too many masks for my own good so I thought to justify that I would do a post every time I give myself a triple threat facial. You can see what combinations of masks I use and what kind of results I get from them.

So this week I started with the Nspa Skin Renewal Gel.(£7 Asda) This is like nothing I have tried before. It is a non granule exfoliating type product that contains fruit acids to help unclog pores and leave your skin looking radiant. You apply a small amount onto dry skin and massage it in for 2 minutes. It is a very thick gel so I find it needs some work to massage in. After two minutes you then leave it on the skin for a moment. I usually wait a minute or two, (check twitter) then you go back to massaging it in. At this point the gel should be turning into an oil and you will find it just slips across your skin. This is when you know its time to remove it.
After you are left with very soft skin that you have to stop yourself from keep touching.
After exfoliatiing I then follow up with a cleansing mask. The one I chose this time was the Superfacialist Tea Flower Pore Purifying Clay Mask.(£8.99 Boots) The pores on my nose have been awful recently, really big and blocked. This has salicylic acid in as well as dead sea mud to help with congestion and draw out all of the nasty stuff in your skin.
I do find this tingles a little when applied but it doesn't make my skin feel or look sore so I think its just doing its job. After 5 minutes I remove this with a flannel and my skin feels squeaky clean.
The third step is moisture. I have had the Aromatherapy Associates Hydrating Rose Face Mask (£36 Aromatherapy Associates) sitting in my draw for a while but have barely used it. This is gel mask that contains Aloe Vera and Damask Rose Water to help tone, refresh and moisturise the skin. It says to leave on for 10 minutes then remove but by then I find the mask has sunk into the skin. I tend to just dampen a cotton wool round and wipe off any excess. I don't notice any affects until the morning after using this but I wake up with such soft smooth skin. It really is a lovely mask.
After these three steps I then follow up with my normal serums and moisturises.
Do you give yourself a weekly pamper like this? I would love to hear you face mask recommendations.
