The Little A’s were recently sent a new Scooby Doo DVD to watch and review and, let me tell you, it is very different from the way you may remember Scooby Doo!
Scooby Doo Adventures, The Mystery Map is an all new Scooby Doo movie, with puppets rather than the traditional cartoon.
Little Mr A really likes the cartoon version of Scooby Doo so I wasn’t sure how he would react to a puppet version!
The film sees Scooby Doo and the usual gang embark on a mad dash to find Pirate Gnarlybeard’s hidden treasure, with all of the fun and frolics that you would expect from Scooby Doo, along the way!
As well as the film there are also two bonus cartoons, The Backstage Rage and Robopup.
With the Little A’s being poorly last week I thought it was the perfect opportunity to snuggle up under a blanket and put on the DVD! Little Mr A was engaged from the start. He sat and watched the whole thing and the two cartoons and said that he had really enjoyed it.
Little Miss A was entertained for a little while before losing interest. However, she did perk up again when the songs came on!
Overall we really like this DVD. It is great fun and really engaging. It is great for fans of the original Scooby Doo but is also a great introduction for new fans and I think the puppet format will appeal to slightly younger children too.
The DVD is available in shops and online now and would make a great stocking filler!
