When I think of Thanksgiving or ~fall~ cocktails, I don't necessarily think of Tequila. But why the hell not? It's one of my favorite spirits and it's practically good for you.
A) It's the only alcohol that's an upper. True story. Google it.
B) It's got enough flavor that you don't casually forget your drinking and get too drunk
C) It's just delicious. Do I really need to elaborate here?
My friends at Casamigos sent over some recipes that are perfect for the upcoming holiday. Take a look and then a sip because these will not disappoint.
Casa Pumpkin SpiceIngredients:
- 2.5 oz. Casamigos Reposado Tequila
- 1 oz. Agave Nectar or Simple Syrup
- 1 oz. Creme
- .25 oz. Almond Liqueur
- 2 Heaping Bar Spoons Organic Canned Pumpkin
- 2 Dashes Angostura Bitters
- 1 Pinch Nutmeg
- 1 Pinch Cinnamon
Method:
Combine all ingredients into tin shaker. Add ice. Shake vigorously for 10-12 seconds. Strain into Irish glass mug. Add dollop of whipped cream and lightly sprinkle nutmeg over top.
Añejo New FashionedIngredients:
- 2 oz. Casamigos Añejo Tequila
- 25 oz. Agave Nectar
- 2 Dashes Orange Bitters
- 2 Dashes Angostura Bitters
Method:
Combine all ingredients into a glass mixer. Add ice. Stir quickly for 30-40 seconds. Strain into rocks glass. Add 1 large ice cube. Garnish with an orange peel wrapped around a Luxardo cherry on a skewer.
Añejo Manhattan- 2 oz. Casamigos Añejo Tequila
- 1 oz. Sweet Vermouth
- 1 Dash Angostura Bitters
Method:
Combine all ingredients into glass mixer. Add ice. Stir well for 30-40 seconds, then strain into a coupe glass. Garnish with a Luxardo Cherry on a skewer.
