‘Thai Masterstrokes’- Cooking Classes by Masterchef Yenjai Suthiwaja at Neung Roi , Radisson Blu Plaza Delhi Mahipalpur My first encounter with Thai cuisine was in 2000-2001, when I went to a restaurant in Gurgaon with my wife (she was my girlfriend then) and that experience wasn’t pleasant at all. For the next couple of years I didn’t dare to try Thai at all.

After that there was no looking back.  I love Thai food now and love cooking it at home too, though it is restricted only to red/yellow Thai curry. An interesting event occurred couple of weeks back and now I am eager to try my hands at different Thai dishes.

An invitation from Radisson Mahipalpur to be a part of the masterclass with the Chef Yenjai Suthiwaja herself was something, I couldn’t have refused.Surprisingly unlike other events, here, participants were before time and I felt that I reached late J.Chef Yenjai Suthiwaja is soft spoken and fun to be with. The entire master class went for two hours and it was mesmerizing and didn’t realize how time flew!   Her masterclass was simple, informative and focused on enriching flavors with the herbs. Masterclass was about using right ingredients and to get their flavors out of it.

Masterclass was followed by lunch and I was bowled over by Thai Pamelo Salad and Yum Tuea Plu(Wing bean salad with roasted coconut and tamarind dressing) . We finished our meal with tub tim krob, coconut icecream and sweetened pumpkin.
