If you want to make memories – add tequila!
After some intense Pinteresting (I swear I lost hours), I decided to whip up some Tequila-based Paloma cocktails using George Clooney’s award-winning Casamigos Reposado tequila—that makes Clooney and I friends, right?—as a welcome drink for everyone who came to my recent #ABriswoldsChristmas Urgly Sweater Party.
While I’m not generally a fan of grapefruit, the idea of a pretty pink drink was impossible to resist – especially on such a hot night.
Plus, it requires just three ingredients (four if you want to add a salt rim to make your glasses look fancy), which meant these fruity concoctions were super easy to make as people flowed into my tiny apartment, but best of all they were a huge hit with everyone who tried them – even with the girls who aren’t normally tequila drinkers.
Ingredients:
45ml Casamigos Reposado tequila
A squeeze of lime juice
Grapefruit soda
Salt for the rim of the glass
Method:
Dip the top of the glass in water and then in salt.
Combine tequila and lime juice in a glass with ice.
Top with grapefruit soda (or grapefruit juice and soda water)
Garnish with a lime wedge.
Enjoy!
