Tenacity. One Word Wednesday

By Jenrene

Diana Nyad is absolutely amazing… watch her on TED and see… an amazing athlete!

She was the  first American (64-year-old long-distance swimmer)  to become the first person to swim across the Florida Straits from Cuba without a shark cage.  and,… this was her her fifth attempt!

Tenacity is courage under fire. why would someone go through such FEAR, pain and  adversity BE DEFEATED, and then do it again several more times.

Tenacity means to be diligent and stubborn at the same . It means to be  gutsy.  To have  intestinal fortitude, moxie ( courage, audacity)  to be persistent, have resolution, to  resolve or to have spunk.   To possess a strength of purpose.

This isn’t stuff that’s developed slowly..it takes some time and effort and  a complete mental and emotional workout. Sounds like something I am doing in this season of my life, actually.

If you listen to her story, you will see how strength of purpose can be a phenomenal skill set to develop.

Wow.. I’m just saying…
